Home MenuParking Maintenance Projects
Pardon our dust while we invest in the future vitality of San Luis Obispo’s downtown as the cultural hub of our community. The City of San Luis Obispo is making existing parking structures downtown cleaner, safer and more sustainable.
Starting January 2024, maintenance will begin with the 842 Palm Street parking structure (the City's only gateless parking structure), and will be followed by the gated 919 Palm Street parking structure.
The structures will remain open with portions of levels being closed. The work is estimated to take approximately 6 months and will include:
- Cleaning
- Concrete repair
- Coating and
- Painting throughout the structures
These projects are funded through the City's Parking Fund. That means, when you pay for parking, you are investing in maintenance of public parking structures and the investment in more parking spaces. Scroll down for news and announcements and click the buttons below for project details.
