Building Maintenance Program

The building maintenance program provides full maintenance service for all City buildings except at the Water and

Facilties Maintenance Services Wastewater Utility Plants and the Transit Operations Center. This program assists with complex building operations issues and building improvement projects. Program goals are attractive buildings, productive work environments, safe and energy-efficient buildings, a positive image for the City, and maximum building service life. This program has two major activities:

  • Building maintenance: Performing skilled maintenance and repair work on City buildings; providing janitorial maintenance for City buildings; maintaining security and fire alarm systems; maintaining fire extinguishers and first aid kits to OSHA standards; remodeling and repairing systems furniture workstations; providing locksmith services; maintaining drinking water purification systems.
  • Building improvement: Constructing building improvements for better appearance, productivity, safety and energy-efficiency; identifying and correcting wasteful energy use; coordinating new systems furniture installations.

Swim Center Maintenance Program

The swim center maintenance program maintains the swimming and diving pool, the tot pool, the bathhouse, and the water treatment equipment at the Swim Center officially named Sinsheimer Pool. The program goal is a safe, clean, and attractive swim center. This program has two major activities:
